About this reference material
Dilute acetic acid is a standard laboratory solvent for peptides that dissolve poorly in neutral aqueous buffer, particularly basic sequences and those prone to aggregation. Lowering the pH improves solubility for many peptide classes.
Acetic acid is corrosive at concentration and should be handled with appropriate personal protective equipment. Confirm solvent compatibility against the receiving laboratory’s own protocol before use.
Handling and storage
Supplied as a solution in a sealed vial. Store at controlled room temperature, protected from light. Do not use if the seal is broken or the solution is discolored or contains visible particulates. Handle under the receiving laboratory’s own protocols.
Documentation
Each production lot is analyzed by an independent third-party laboratory before release. The purity and identity result for the lot you receive is stated on its certificate of analysis, which is published against the lot number printed on the vial label.
